Among the field of flowers
Was a ladder, a ladder so tall
You couldn’t see where it stopped!
I was only a young child then,
Curious, ambitious, eager to see
Where this impossible ladder led
And so I climbed.
I ignored the mocking laughter,
Ignored the doubts and lack of faith,
Ignored everyone who said
“You won’t make it!”
And climbed in search for a better world.
